Wood Spray Class "A" Information

FWAOne coat, flame retardant wood treatment where fire codes require Class "A" fire protection.

For Industrial, Commercial and Residential Interior or Exterior Use

Flamebuster Class "A" may be applied to most exterior wood surfaces including wood siding, shake shingles, fences and decking. When professionally applied to exterior wood Flamebuster Class "A" can withstand up to 200 inches of rain or five years without re-treatment (we still recommend treating exposed surfaces every year!).

Flamebuster Class "A" is NOT a paint. Exterior surfaces will loose their 'finish' look quickly when exposed to rain. Flamebuster Class "A" should be over coated with a clear finish to keep it from washing off if looks are important.

Flamebuster Class "A" also acts as a fungus inhibitor and is resistant to most insects, rodents and certain molds.

Flamebuster Class "A" is an odorless (when dry), colorless, non-toxic formulation that prevents flames from spreading by a chemically self extinguishing reaction. Our water-based fire retardants are economical to apply because they only require one coat. Many other fire retardants require two or three applications with high pressure equipment. is shipped ready to use with no mixing or dilution required.

Because Flamebuster Class "A" is a water based product, it will not cover over painted or stained surfaces very well. We have had one report of paint damage when the product was used over paint. We do not recommend the use of this product over paint, mainly because it is water based and may not cover evenly. We also do not advise using the product on deck or walking surfaces where moisture may be present at times. The product may become sticky with moisture.

Please note: Flamebuster Class "A" is vary pungent while being applied. Please apply with plenty of ventilation and a mask if necessary. Spraying naturally makes the smell stronger. The odor will increase dramatically if spraying. Will dry odorless. Keep ventilation going until product is dry.

Note: We have withdrawn our listing with UL for economic reasons at this time. The product has not changed, nor will it. All test data is still valid. The only difference is that we are not currently listed with UL.
